Sublimation Printing On Aluminum Sheet

Can you use aluminum for sublimation?
Yes. You just need to pick up some aluminum sublimation blanks.

Materials Needed
- Sublimation Printer
- Sublimation Paper
- Heat Tape
- Heat Press
- Butcher Paper
- ChromaLuxe® Aluminum Sheet
Instructions
- Have your design printed on sublimation paper and ChromaLuxe® sheet ready; don’t forget to mirror. Preheat your heat press to 385F.
2. Remove protective film from the ChromaLuxe® sheet.
3. Place the ChromaLuxe® onto the printed sublimation paper. Secure the sublimation paper in place with heat tape. Make sure the ChromaLuxe® is placed white side down onto the printed sublimation paper.
4. Place a piece of Butcher Paper on the lower plate of the heat press.
5. Place the secured sublimation paper and ChromaLuxe® aluminum sheet onto the lower plate of the heat press with the same white side down and aluminum back side up.
6. Place a piece of Butcher Paper on top of the ChromaLuxe® aluminum sheet.
7. Close the top plate of the heat press.
8. Apply medium pressure for 60 seconds at 385F* degrees. (* The temperature on some heat presses will lower during the press.)
9. Let the ChromaLuxe® aluminum sheet cool.
10. Remove the sublimation paper.
10. Admire the quality results!
